Thursday Tunes

This week we have Esperanza Spalding, and she's new to me. Submitter sends it along with this comment:

I know almost nothing about her, but she was awesome on Austin City Limits a few months back.


Ditto from me. If I had to describe the style, I'd call it creole jazz. Two things going for it: 1) Slap bass. Love it. 2) The 'fro. Just look at it. How can you not admire that 'fro? As the kids would say, "it's epic."
