Putting his best foot forward

Man saws off own foot to continue receiving unemployment benefits

Now, what was his reasoning for this?

Url had complained before the incident that he was too sick to work and "didn't like the work he was offered."

Didn't like the work he was offered? Now he was fine with taking someone else's money for no work, but having to actually work for it? Well, that is just going too far! The best part though;

The kicker: According to the paper, being footless does not necessarily qualify Url for unemployment compensation.

Even though he may not benefit from it, I expect to see some copycats here in the states soon. I fear, though, that here they will get away with it.
