Nothin' But Net

Keep the change?

Authorities say a Massachusetts woman bought $64 worth of soda using a stolen welfare benefits card, then immediately fed the full cans into the supermarket's automated redemption machine for the nickel deposit.

The welfare state is eating its own head. How lovely.

She was ordered held on $250 bail.

Actually, she was held in lieu of $250 bail. If she were held on it, she would be balanced on one foot.

Nevertheless, I'm pretty certain she won't make bail, unless the bondsmen these days are accepting food stamps... And hey, why not? Liquor stores do.
