Viva Texas!

Texas executes Mexican despite White House plea

Humberto Leal was executed Thursday evening for the 1994 rape and murder of a San Antonio teenager after his attorneys, supported also by the Mexican government and other diplomats, unsuccessfully sought a stay. They argued that Leal was denied help from his home country that could have helped him avoid the death penalty.

In a previous article, the defense argued he was not allowed to contact the Mexican consular during a NON-custodial interview. Now, mind you, turd head has been living in Texas since he was two, but they (his lawyers, and the Prez.) say he should have been allowed to contact them. For those not familiar with it a non-custodial interview it is just that, he is NOT under arrest and is free to leave at anytime. No Fourth amendment rights attatch, nor do any other legal protections under the law or treaties. It is the same as if you were having a casual conversation with a friend or co-worker, the other person just happens to be in a police uniform. If you are stupid enough to confess to a crime, well, thats on you. I am also sure that this was not Mr. Leal's first Rodeo, and he probably had a good working knowledge of our legal system and his "rights" under it, even though he was here illegally.

From the death chamber, Leal repeatedly apologized and then shouted "Viva Mexico!" as the lethal drugs began taking effect. The 38-year-old mechanic was sentenced to death for killing 16-year-old Adria Sauceda, whose brutalized nude body was found hours after the two left a street party.

And in his last statement lies the whole crux of the illegal immigration issue. Even though he grew up here and has been in America longer than he has been in Mexico, he still considered himself a Mexican. Immigration is not the issue when it is done to come here and better yourself and you do it LEGALLY, the issue with illegals is that they do not come her to become American citizens. They come here to work and send money home and feed off of our support system and the vast majority do not wish to be Americans. For evidence I present just about every Hispanic political action group. "Make signs in spanish, Government forms in Spanish, do everything you can to make it like our shit hole country we were fleeing." In other words, don't ask them to assimilate.
To come here you must be a positive influx to this country. No Welfare, no Government assistance of any kind for at least a decade. Show that you contribute to the system, before you can take from it. Until we make them become Americans, and we do have an American culture (and English is our language), The immigration problem will linger. Adria's mother said it best;

"A technicality doesn't give anyone a right to come to this country and rape, torture and murder anyone," she said.
