β Pictoris b

I have complained here on several occasions (sorry, can't be bothered to look up the links) that the problem with the gravitational inference or "wobble" technique for discovering extra-solar planets (i.e. - worlds around other stars) is that the data -- and thus the method -- cannot be confirmed by correlating it to direct observation. Looks like I get to eat my words. And they're quite tasty, thanks for asking.
