Pony up!

Looks like Jar may soon have to pay the piper for all those millions in ill gotten gain he has made from this blog

Between her blog and infrequent contributions to ehow.com, over the last few years she says she’s made about $50. To [Marilyn] Bess, her website is a hobby. To the city of Philadelphia, it’s a potential moneymaker, and the city wants its cut.
In May, the city sent Bess a letter demanding that she pay $300, the price of a business privilege license.

“The real kick in the pants is that I don’t even have a full-time job, so for the city to tell me to pony up $300 for a business privilege license, pay wage tax, business privilege tax, net profits tax on a handful of money is outrageous,” Bess says.

Essentially Philly is saying that residents COULD make money so cough it up Biatches! If this does work, I foresee many municipalities following suit.

Feed the government pig, for she is HUNGRY!

Fine, I'll get a license.

Then I'll deduct my computer, cable modem bill and A/C bill from my taxes as the cost of maintaining a home office. Oh, and I sometimes get story leads from the television, so I'll also be deducting the cost of my satellite service. Any time I go to lunch with a friend, he's also a client, so I'll deduct that as well. If the wife and I discuss an item on the blog over dinner, that's a business conversation. I like steak.

You retarded gimps in the government really sure you want to play this game? Because I'm a helluva lot smarter than you...

I swear, government officials are like crack addicts. they never think of the long term effects of any tax or fee they pass. They Just need to get that next fix of money. Here in my lovely town a few years ago the city council made a big deal about how they were NOT going to raise property taxes, held a press conference and everything. Three months later, they had every persons property re-assessed, thus making property taxes go up. Revenue down? Raise taxes! Budget shortfall? create new fees! And they wonder why people are in the streets screaming VIVA LA REVOLUCION!
