How to lose the argument

The National Academy of Sciences has issued a blacklist of scientists whose opinions should not be considered when discussing "climate change." In other words, all the skeptics concerning anthropogenic global warming are on the blacklist. The really delicious part: some of the people at the top of the list are members of the National Academy of Sciences.

Note to the hacks and boot-lickers at the NAS: blacklisting those who wish to debate your hypothesis is not science, it's politics. It makes your position more obviously a sham, and therefore less believable -- so keep it up!

That may be the most cogent and relevant summation of AGW I've ever read. It makes perfect sense. No matter how discredited AGW becomes, (and it's wearing full-blown clown shoes now), the libtards can't afford to let it go because it holds all their other nonsense together. It is, in other words, the modern enabler for their elitist tendencies, much like the movement against so-called "total war" after the Napoleonic conflicts. Without the camouflage of a Great and Moral Crusade to Save Mankind, leftists are exposed for what they really are: children throwing temper tantrums because the world doesn't work the way they think it should to work.
