"We asked Martha's opponent, what's he going to do, and he decided to park his truck on Wall Street," Obama said Sunday at a campaign rally for Democrat Martha Coakley. "Let me be clear: Bankers don't need another vote in the United States Senate. They've got plenty." - Barack Obama
You just don't get it, do you Barry? This is not about Wall Street, it's not about bankers, it's not about the job market, it's not even about the war. This is about YOU. Your party just lost the most secure Democratic Senate seat in the entire country, boy-O! It's the most damning political statement since Reagan used Carter as a floor mop. You'd better get off your liberal high-horse and start making some attempt to understand political realities in Washington, or you're going to find yourself pushing a mop.
However, a mule can't change its nature, and this particular critter has shown a pronounced tendency to ram its head into the wall until bloody and staggering -- then come back for more. So don't change, Barry; hold your course and damn the torpedoes! I'd prefer it, actually. Because however embarrassing to the country that may be in the short term, you'll be pushing American leftism back into its dark, desperate little corner for at least the next 20 years.
Since y'all are a bit dense up there in Obamaland, allow me sum up the statement the Massachusetts electorate just sent you: "Go away, hippies. There's a country needs running, and you're not qualified for the job."
I'll drink a toast to Ted Kennedy tonight. For once in his life, the old lecher finally did something right: he died in a timely fashion.
