Four-ten, good buddy!
This is one "green initiative" that I can get behind: four-ten workweeks. A smattering of companies have started doing this in Houston. It's already somewhat frequent -- if not exactly common -- on construction jobsites, (as long as they stay on schedule).
If the environuts are really serious about reducing energy usage, this is one of the very few scientifically validated and publicly palatable methods available. Most people will love it. Hell, I already work 10+ hour days. I'd rather do it four times a week than five.

I work a 9/80 schedule, which means i have every other Friday off. We are mandated to have at least a 1 hour lunch, so that means 4/10's really would mean 4/11's. I like the 9/80's. At work for 11 hours would be a bit much for me.
