Watch what happens when you swap a 13 year-old's iPod for a Walkman:

Yeah, we only had "metal" music and "normal" music in the 80s. Well, and Wham!, but we try not to dwell on that.

And yet we went to the moon with even more primitive technology. Now, with all this advanced gadgetry, we can't even build a space habitrail without help.

That was not the only naive mistake that I made; I mistook the metal/normal switch on the Walkman for a genre-specific equaliser, but later I discovered that it was in fact used to switch between two different types of cassette.

I'm relieved that the majority of technological advancement happened before I was born...
