Watch what happens when you swap a 13 year-old's iPod for a Walkman:

It took me three days to figure out that there was another side to the tape.

For god's sake, don't give him an 8-track player; his head's likely to explode.

That was not the only naive mistake that I made; I mistook the metal/normal switch on the Walkman for a genre-specific equaliser, but later I discovered that it was in fact used to switch between two different types of cassette.

Yeah, we only had "metal" music and "normal" music in the 80s. Well, and Wham!, but we try not to dwell on that.

I'm relieved that the majority of technological advancement happened before I was born...

Isn't that true for everyone by definition?

I can't imagine having to use such basic equipment every day.

And yet we went to the moon with even more primitive technology. Now, with all this advanced gadgetry, we can't even build a space habitrail without help.
