How quickly they forget:

Russian communists have put up giant billboards of Soviet dictator Josef Stalin in a southern city, promoting his tough methods as the best remedy for the world economic crisis.

"Everybody knows that under Stalin our country achieved the highest rate of economic growth and development in other spheres, and the great victory (over Nazi Germany)..."

That would be the same "great victory" for which the United States provided billions of tons of food and war materiel, due to the fact that the Soviet system on its own couldn't produce enough to fight off a Mongolian horse tribe, let alone Nazi Germany. Decades later, Ronald Reagan understood the importance of that lesson and spent them right into their graves -- something that still galls lefties in this country every time they think about it.

One thing you have to give commies and socialists: they are unswervingly deluded. If you don't believe me, just duck over to the Democratic Underground forums for a spell. Don't stay too long, though, or you might take your brain out and start playing soccer with it.
