A fool and his money...

Donate it to the New York Times

Executive Editor of the NYT said this:

On the NYT: Keller predicted that the Times will be "left standing after the deluge." Noting that readers have offered to donate money to keep the Times alive, Keller suggested that GM probably isn't getting similar offers.

My favorite statement is this;

Commenting on the keep-the-Times alive movement, Keller said: "Saving the New York Times now ranks with saving Darfur as a high-minded cause."

His humility is truly inspiring. Yes, I believe he is right. Saving the jobs of a few reporters ranks right up there with stopping the murder of hundreds of thousands of people. (For those that are new here, the sarcasm in the last statement is as thick as Hillary's cankles)(yea, I just said that)
I believe that newspapers can have a long life, even with all the other media forms out there. During my trip to DC and riding the train, almost everyone was reading a newspaper of some kind. They just need to get back to reporting and not opining. They don't need to swing to right wing or left, just report the news. That is all people want. Let them make up their mind on how they feel about it instead of telling them.
