Happy Birthday!
In observance of Charles Darwin's 200th birthday, we have this little gem of natural selection:
Ah, sweet silence.
Happy B-day, Uncle Chuck -- and many happy returns! No rest for the weary, I'm afraid.
A drunken man died under the wheels of a train after shoulder-charging a carriage as it left a station.
Terry Stacey had downed half a bottle of vodka during an early-morning drinking session... Witnesses say the 22-year-old had charged at the train as it pulled away from Hilsea station, in Portsmouth.
He then fell between the train and the platform and died.
Passenger and off-duty police constable Trevor Walsh said he heard shouting and swearing coming from outside. He said he saw Mr Stacey charge at the carriage, before starting to push it with his back.
'Then there was no more noise,' he said.
Ah, sweet silence.
Happy B-day, Uncle Chuck -- and many happy returns! No rest for the weary, I'm afraid.
