Congress raises gas prices

New tax on oil

WASHINGTON - The House approved $18 billion in new taxes on the largest oil companies Wednesday as Democrats cited record oil prices and rising gasoline costs in a time of economic troubles.

So are these oil cmpanies just going to pay all of these taxes out of pocket or are they going to pass it on to us? As I have said in the past, companies do NOT pay taxes. We do. All costs for a product are passed on to the consumer, that includes taxes. Basic economics.

Nothing is going to change in this country until we stop listening to professional politicians and start hanging them.
