Rare footage of the late Michael Hedges playing the acoustic harp guitar. His untimely death in 1997 was a huge loss to the music world; in my not-so-humble opinion, he was the greatest American composer and musician since George Gershwin.
If you like the harp guitar, it doesn't get better than this. And if you don't like the harp guitar, it's because you've never heard one. Notice that the guitar part is played almost entirely with hammer-ons and left-handed picking. The amount of talent required to play the instrument this well boggles the mind.

Good stuff, I'd never seen the harp guitar before, but the playing style reminded me a lot of Jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan who I saw at Rockefellers several years ago. He plays mainly using finger tapping and hammer-ons
