Long-Distance Loonies
Phone pals:
I'm certain they're both stable, well-adjusted people. That marriage should work out fabulously.
That could put a bit of a damper on the wedding night activities.
Ryan Fitzgerald, 20, of Southbridge, Mass., posted his number on [YouTube] back in April in order to connect with lonely people who needed someone to talk to. He got thousands of calls from strangers around the world, but one call was very special.
Fitzgerald spoke with a young woman named Kara Lael Fraim, 18, from upstate New York as a result, and their first call lasted about nine hours.
They met in person just days later and now, the couple is engaged.
I'm certain they're both stable, well-adjusted people. That marriage should work out fabulously.
He said that since his bride-to-be is only 18, she wants to wait until she is 2010 to get married...
That could put a bit of a damper on the wedding night activities.

Awakened from a dead sleep around 1:00 a.m. seventeen years ago a friend received another wrong number at her home in NYC from a caller looking to place an order at a pizza restaurant. Her number was just one digit different from that of the pizza restaurant and as usual she gave out the correct number and went back to sleep. The next evening the man rang again to thank her for being so pleasant, especially since the call woke her. They chatted for nearly three hours. They continued speaking on the telephone for about 2 weeks. They finally met, dated for slightly over a year until they were married. Two children and sixteen years later they are still happy.
Hopefully Ryan and Kara have as good of fortune as my friend.
