Dog News

It's a dog day afternoon morning this Monday.

First up, we have news that artificial sweeteners may be bad for man's best friend:

Veterinarians warned on Friday that a commonly used sweetener might cause liver failure in dogs, and perhaps even kill them.

Is there a new, non-fatal form of liver failure of which I'm not aware?

Moving on to something a little happier, the pit bulls finally get some long-deserved good press, as an adopted pit saves a teenaged girl from a fire. About damned time, too. Pits are very loving, loyal dogs, and I'm quite tired of seeing them maligned by ignorant reporters. Hrm... that last bit would seem to imply there are non-ignorant reporters, wouldn't it? Strike that; just "reporters" will do nicely.

Finally, it seems he neglected to account for the door in his cunning plan...
