Insult to Injury

After slashing their employee's pay in an effort to buy the CEO a new mansion exit bankruptcy, Northwest Airlines handed them booklets which advised the employees to suck it up and go dumpster diving:

The four-page booklet, "Preparing for a Financial Setback" contained suggestions such as shopping in thrift stores, taking "a date for a walk along the beach or in the woods" and not being "shy about pulling something you like out of the trash."

Corporate compassion at its best. This is how communists get a foothold.
