Exploit Us, Please!

Today is the Big Day: Mexican immigrants have banded together in a show of the most ignorant solidarity in opposition to their own well-being. A quote from one of these ignorant peasants erstwhile protestors:

"We are the backbone of what America is, legal or illegal, it doesn't matter."

Now, see... That's where you lose me and the rest of America. I don't care how many Mexicans immigrate to the United States. We can annex the whole bloody country for all I care. I have only one concern in this whole matter; it is not negotiable, and I am quite certain I speak for the overwhelming majority of legal American citizens: you must pay taxes.

It's not optional or even up for discussion. If you're reaping the benefits of the tax system, (as you most certainly are), you must pay into that common pot. Until this problem is fixed, none of the related problems--corrupt employers, worker exploitation, below minimum wage pay--can ever be fixed. Those things are the price of your economic invisibility.

In other words, you are protesting your own best option for a secure future. And that's why you're still ignorant peasants.
