Watermelon Toss

I like Condi Rice. I hope the GOP has the sense to run her for President in '08, as she will certainly get my vote. That said, this is actually rather funny.

There is an increasing tendency in America for people to bristle at every conceivable connotation of anything that might even remotely be considered offensive. Consider this: If Mel Brooks were to release Blazing Saddles today, it'd be universally protested as "racist" and "blatantly offensive." But it'd still be one of the funniest movies ever made.

Remember the old rhyme from your childhood: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." Instead of trying desperately not to offend anyone, how about if we all make a concerted effort not to be offended.

I don’t know about that one, that was pretty lame. I mean if your gonna go to the watermelon jab, you have to be funny.
Mel Brooks would roll over in his grave.
