Pathetic Policing

The British law enforcement system in action. Or more precisely, inaction.

The shop owner is even more of a clueless idiot. What a brilliant idea, to lock the violent criminal in with the employees... I'm sure that will work out well. I know! Let's all have tea!

Its especially stupid, as the shop has a security entrance with 2 doors, which is what they eventually used to trap the robber. A lot of damage could have been prevented (to both the shop and the employees) if they had used the security door correctly in the first place. First, you lock the outside door, then let the robber have whatever he wants and leave, then you lock the inside door. Simple.

Your lessons for today, boys and girls:
1. Never wait for the police (or any other gov't agency) to come and save your ass.
2. Have your own security, and use it correctly.

Thing is, if I remember correctly, in England if the shop owner had used a gun to defend himself, his shop and family, he would have suffered greater penalty than the attempted robber. :/
