Huge Scientific Breakthrough!

In a feat of scientific prowess sure to go down alongside organized agriculture and the splitting of the atom, researchers have determined that ice melts faster during hot summers than it does during cooler summers.

Yes! Truly!

I'm overwhelmed by awe. I feel like such a cognitive midget. A mere child, my lack of sagacity blinding me to the coruscating brilliance of such giants in the field. I stand trembling in their reflected glory, ready to eagerly feed upon the received wisdom of my intellectual betters.

I wonder if... Well, I know I'm not qualified and all, but do you think--just maybe--that water might freeze faster during cold winters? I know, I know; it's a huge leap, but... Nah! Nevermind; it could never happen. I'm just getting above my station. I guess I'd better leave it to the professionals, huh?

Incredible. I suspected this but up to this point all I knew was that my coffee gets colder faster if the kitchen is freezing cold. ;)

I’ll always remember I was sitting at my desk eating lunch when this enormous break through occurred. This is indeed a huge day.

I feel so enlightened with this new information. I wonder if I should go share this with my 7th grade students or if I should keep it a secret. Being remedial and all they probably don't know this valuable information yet. Man, I could really ROCK their worlds!!!
