Gillette wins the Rube Goldberg award with a five-bladed, battery-powered, manual razor. (Yes, I know that's a non-sequiter, but that's what it's called.)
Since, in my experience, the cheap dispoable razors that come ten to a bag work exactly as well as the expensive ones, a five-bladed powered razor is kind of like buying an F-450 to haul groceries--an expensive exercise in egotism. But it seems to be working for Gillette:
