More neo-Puritan stupidity--this time in L.A., of all places:

A reference to roosters and chickens on a Hooters billboard has ruffled some feathers.

Employees at Kaiser Permanente-Baldwin Park Medical Center, which is beneath the billboard along the San Bernardino Freeway, brought their complaints to the city. They claim the billboard's slogan -- "Only a rooster gets a better piece of chicken" -- is "indecent or obscene."

Ah... Yes. Because as everyone knows, chickens don't have sex.

"It's very creative and it is kind of funny, but when you really take a look at it and read it, it's degrading to women," said Councilwoman Marlen Garcia.

Well, Ms. Garcia, I believe that your comment, which implicitly equates women to barnyard livestock, is even more degrading. You stupid cow.

Garcia said Baldwin Park is a family friendly city, and its residents have no tolerance for the slogan.

Yes, family friendly! So remember, kids: just ignore that incredibly vague sexual allusion--which you never would have understood in the first place if a bunch of prudish, neurotic adults hadn't brought it to your attention.
