Goat McGruff sez...

Okay, I don't own a bathrobe, I don't drink coffee (filthy stuff; civilized people drink tea), and my goatee is much better groomed. The horns do bear a striking resemblence, however. Additionally, I resent the accusation that I'm grumpy and lash out at children; I lash them up... with roasting twine. About six hours on the smoker over a low mesquite fire, and they're absolutely lovely. I recommend au jus on the side.

But Christians don't indoctrinate their children--they'll tell you so! Which means this flyer must be some dastardly plot from ol' Beezelbub to discredit the Christian religion. I'll ask 'Bub about it the next time we do lunch.

This is just hilarious! Maybe it was written about me, since I do look very similar to that in the morning. I don't really resent the "grumpy" comment so much, since that is an intentional attitude that I adapt when talking to clueless, ignorant, judgemental religious nutballs that think they can give ME the answers when they don't even know what the right questions are.

What cracks me up is the warning to the kids. "Advanced witnessing techniques" are needed, eh? Like the ability to flatly deny facts and logic when presented in a rational argument? They're right, of course.. kids are still pretty vulnerable to those "tricks." It takes a good 15-20 years get the self-deception to stick permanently.

Here's a tip for you kids: if you find someone with ANY beliefs that are different from yours, leave them alone and learn to respect their right to believe whatever they want. Your pastor and parents don't have all the answers, so THINK FOR YOURSELF.
