Food Federalis

Only federal government bureaucrats would attempt to solve a perceived problem by means of complicating it--by a factor of 12.

Johanns said the 1992 pyramid had "become quite familiar, but few Americans follow the recommendations..."

"Part of the problem previously was that we had this one symbol, this one pyramid, and it was one size fits all," Hentges told agriculture reporters last week. "Or it was a misinterpretation..."

So you're going to "solve" the problem by replacing the one readily-visible symbol of nutritional health that is ubiquitous in classrooms, hospitals and institutions with a monstrous, sprawling, government-created webpage? Oh, of course... That makes perfect sense.
