Mercurial Changes
A while back, I spent a couple of years as a civil engineering manager, specializing in large scale earthwork and industrial landfill construction. As part of that job, I had to deal with the EPA and their draconian regulations on a regular basis, and I'm convinced it was the prime motivator in starting my hair on a downward trend towards the gray side of the color spectrum. So when I find myself in complete agreement with the EPA, you know somebody has really pumped the hamster.
It's nice to see that the Bush Administration is finally reining in the EPA. After years of wielding their super-annuated funding against industry like a spiked club, we're finally seeing some reasoned and rational behavior from them. The Harvard study was obviously trumped up to satisfy a specific agenda--a practice which enviro-freaks have proven they are all too willing to engage in if it serves their deluded purposes.

During my stint as an Environmental Manger I too had dealings with the EPA. And the amount of red tape produced on a project far exceeded the amount of paper that this agency uses to spew out it laws!
The majority of the case managers where straight out of college and did not have a frickin clue how to use the cost versus health benefit in their decision making process. So to see that the EPA had actual starting using the cost versus health benefit factor shows that finally someone in the EPA has some come to their senses.
Wonder how long before the libs find some reason to remove the current director.
