It's the only way they get money now that Google has decided to demonetize channels with whose political message their communist management and workforce disagree. As the article points out, they and others will eventually run afoul of the Communications Decency Act if they keep up their censorship shenanigans, but in the meantime they can shut down a lot of people who have dissenting viewpoints.
That's the state of modern American liberalism: not debate, but dictatorial mandates. Silence the opposition at all costs. If you want to shut down those with whom you disagree, there can be only one reason for it.
