The Manhoff Archives

Martin Manhoff was a U.S. Army major stationed at the American Embassy in Moscow in the early 1950s. He managed to get out of the country with an extraordinary amount of 16mm color footage and photographic slides, providing some rare glimpses of everyday life behind the Iron Curtain as the Cold War was getting underway.
