Every family has one: the black sheep. It's that crazy relation who shows up to Christmas drunk, mooches money off everyone and never pays it back, lands in jail for mooning a cop and calls you at three a.m. to bail him out. You know him. Turns out countries have them, too. Ours is California:

Seriously. Screw secession. I've come to realize that's not the answer, because there's nothing intrinsically wrong with the Union or its foundation, the Constitution. The problem is our batshit crazy aunt and her fifty goddamned cats. We don't need to leave the house, we need to force these people out of our house.
You wanna do suicidal stuff like robbing your citizens and giving it to non-citizens or allowing murderers and rapists a say in how the government is run? Fine. You do that. But you do it in your OWN fucking house, not ours.
Gov. Jerry Brown has agreed to restore the voting rights of convicted felons serving time in county jails.
