The Chicago Way

A new record!

August is going down as the most violent month in Chicago in 20 years, as weekend shootings raised the number of homicides this year to just a few shy of all of last year. A total of 67 people were shot over the weekend and 11 of them died.

The thugs in "gun-free" Chicago are killing each other off in record numbers. In that sense, at least, gun control is a huge success. Just goes to show you there's always a silver lining, though I'm a bit disappointed in the hit-to-kill ratio. They really need to work on getting that up a bit. Perhaps some free marksmanship training is in order. Think of it as an investment in the future.
