Left Behind

Jim Geraghty just pointed out this little moment that makes you go "hmmmm..."

A recent Hillary Clinton campaign stop at Dartmouth College saw College Republicans turned away from standing near the Democratic presidential candidate and College Democrats apparent no-shows at the event.

“I did not see any College Democrats there,” student Charles Springer, a member of the Dartmouth College Republicans, told The College Fix on Saturday. “I had spoken with a couple College Democrats on the day before the event … and they all said that they were not going to the Hillary event … as she was not progressive enough for them and they did not like her as a candidate or as a person.”

Clinton is desperately trying to position herself in the middle while whitewashing her real agenda as a kleptocrat, but the Kommie Kids aren't buying it. The Leftist push to propagandize the universities has apparently succeeded, but there's a catch: the empty-skulled little brats are so radicalized, they're swooning over hard Left failures like O'Malley and Sanders.

This may be one of those bizarre occasions when your enemies' tactics work against them. Clinton might be able to carry a slim majority of the swing voters, but neither O'Malley nor Sanders can do so; they're far too radical for the middle class working stiffs who traditionally constitute the bulk of undecided voters. If this trend continues through January and the Donks can't produce a viable candidate, the only real threat to the GOP in 2016 will be from within. As we've seen, however, one should never underestimate the capacity of mainstream Republicans to put a bullet into their own foot.

They may not like her now, but if she wins the Primaries, then those young radicals will drop in lock-step to the polls to pull that lever with the "D" beside it. Remember, they have been taught that the other side is EVIL, not wrong, but pure evil in the flesh. We might as well be carrying a pitchfork and have horns and a tail. Our arguments are to be shouted down and only people who call themselves Progressive or affiliate with the "D" party are to be trusted. Molest women? no problem as long as you are Democrat. Run a prostitution ring out of your apartment, good with that too. Use racialy insensitive statements, cool with that as well. Kill someone, as long as you are for abortion on demand and more Gubment subsidies, we'll keep you in office.

I would like to think we haven't hit a turning point in our young Republic, but it may be to late. Of course, this could just be the old curmudgeon in me talking and there are enough young people out there who love freedom enough to fight for it. We will see.
