Freshwater Carriers

This page has a ton of photos taken aboard the USS Sable and USS Wolverine in 1943 and '44. The US Navy operated these converted steamers on the Great Lakes for training and final qualifications of carrier pilots. I'm guessing this guy didn't make the cut...
