No Basis In Fact
Just a rant on current topics. It was either this, or go Postal.
Fear of Tyranny is not an irrational fear.

“But the irrational fears of the gun lobby succeeded in shouting down the debate, and in the intervening two years not a single piece of meaningful legislation has been adopted that would even begin to solve the problem.”
Steve Kozachik, what do you think will solve the problem? First, you must accurately state the problem you wish to resolve. Don’t say ‘stop gun violence’, because the Left’s “Gun Control” ideas are NOT about gun crimes, but rather about Control, plain and simple. Anyone who is not part of the Democrat elite is incapable of rational thought and must be managed like chattel, slaves if you will, and disarming them will give the Progressives total control. I’ll take you seriously only when you give up your armed security.
Fact: in every community where there are concealed carry laws, allowing citizens to protect themselves, crime rates have gone down. Literally dozens of mass-shootings have been stopped before they became mass-shootings, due to somebody being present with a firearm to stop the shooter. They don’t make the news because they don’t fit the Liberal agenda, aren’t really mass-shootings, and don’t attract viewers to sell ad space.
President Obama has promised that gun control isn’t going to lead to tyranny. Of course. Though I am sure the Russian citizens, especially those that were murdered or sent to the Gulag were promised much the same thing.
Piers Morgan is an idiot. Sorry, but I just have this knack for stating the obvious.
The job of an EMT is to treat everyone, victims and perpetrators alike, and treat them equally. This is what we do, dammit. And if Mr. Morgan wants to know what a nightmare is, move to Syria and live with the rebels who are fighting a tyrant for their freedom.
Americans have led a far too sheltered existence. Too far removed from tyrants and oppression.
Or move to Detroit. http://money.cnn.com/gallery/real_estate/2013/01/23/dangerous-cities/index.html?hpt=hp_t4
Where there are some pretty restrictive gun control laws on the books to protect the citizens from gun crimes like murder, robbery, assault, and rape. So, naturally, I can’t believe the news article. Must be a misprint.
And this is a more real fear than Global Warming.
I don’t know what’s worse: watching Hilary Clinton blow sunshine on Congress on TV, or more of the fawning over our re-elected Celebrity President. The Second Coming. (Ha ha. I’ll be here all week.) Is she crying? Oh, puh-leeze!
Finally, I want one of these. Of course, French officials just had to apologize.

It is amusing to me when "liberals" say they want to have a "rational debate" on gun control, yet refuse to look at any facts that do not support their preconceived notions.
Chicago has the most restrictive gun control laws in the nation (or did until New York passed their new laws this month), yet over 500 people were murdered in Chicago last year.. which is roughly equivalent to 2 Newtown school massacres EVERY MONTH. Strangely, Chicago did not appear in the list of the 10 most dangerous cities in the other article...
Apparently an presenting an accurate evaluation of the effectiveness of their proposed laws is considered "shouting down the debate".
Hypocrisy abounds in these arguments, as demonstrated by Mr. Kozachik's complaint that private citizens were competing with his gun buyback program by offering to pay more for the guns that people were turning in. So, he thinks that HE should be allowed to buy guns "for a good cause" but other people should be restricted from buying guns for their own reasons. I wonder if he implemented background checks for those involved in his program.
The road to Hell is paved with good intentions, as the saying goes. And we all know that building roads stimulates economic growth (second only to extended unemployment benefits).
I love that photo of the French soldier in the skull bandana. The reaction of the civilian idiots is typical: leftists and bleeding-hearts want violent men to protect them, but they don't want them to actually be... well, mean. Violence is so icky, you know.
Fucking sop-brained gimp sheep, the lot of them. Most Western civilians couldn't survive a month outside of the vast support infrastructure provided by modern technology and protected by professional soldiers. For denizens of places like Paris and New York, that time frame dwindles to less than a week. Somehow their privileged, pampered minds have translated their dependence into a superiority complex, which is perhaps the most baffling social inversion in history: the least capable and minimally productive in society are protected and enabled by those they despise.
