Fall Down, Go Boom

Obviously substandard construction:

Residents in [an apartment] block in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, had been demanding 75,000 GBP a head to move out and make way for a multi-million GBP development.

But after waiting for everyone to leave their homes for work one morning, the builders simply dug out the block's foundations and waited for it to topple over.

A spokesman for the developer claimed: "This property was clearly in a very poor condition. The foundations were so flimsy it fell over all by itself."

Damn the luck.
