Not-so-deadly assault with a wheelchair:

Ayr Sheriff Court heard sozzled [and wheelchair-bound] Kevin O'Brien had been spotted lying outside his homeless hostel.

Scott Toal, prosecuting, said: "They noticed he was under the influence of alcohol and he was advised he wouldn't be allowed in the hostel.

"He then began to shout and swear at the officers, calling them f****** idiots and b*******.

"He started running his wheelchair into the legs of the male officers. The female officer intervened and unplugged one of the sockets at the rear, thereby preventing the accused from moving.

"He agreed to calm down, but every time the cable was reconnected, he rammed the same officer on the legs."

"Oh, oh, I see, running away then. You yellow bastards! Come back here and take what's coming to you. I'll bite your legs off!"
