Best idea ever!

In this article the author uses the Hamilton/Burr duel to make a point. I ,however, see a new way to "elect" our politicians and weed out the chattle

The death of civility in American politics has been greatly exaggerated. We have not become worse since our founding; if we had, politicians would kill each other every two years.

That's right, wanna be Senator, duel for it. Yea, the "best and the brightest" or "the right person for the job" may not win, but who says the best are winning the positions of power right now. BRING ON THE THUNDERDOME!
