"Unemployment insurance is a form of stimulus, but offsetting the extension of this program would negate the stimulative impact. It would be robbing Peter to pay Paul."
No, moron. It's not "like" that at all. It actually IS robbing Peter to pay Paul. Only you haven't even bothered to rob him yet; you are leaving that for someone else to do later. Then you are using that money to "stimulate" production by paying Paul to sit on his ass and collect benefits he hasn't earned. All of this to address an "emergency" you created by using more of Peter's "borrowed" money to help finance Paul's house. Then you bailed out the bank you "encouraged" to make the loan using more money you took from Peter. Otherwise, if you hadn't spend Peter's money to buy Paul's vote, it would be YOU sitting on your ass because you're too STUPID to balance a checkbook or provide any USEFUL service in the REAL WORLD!
