Why we are broke

Yesterday in the mail, I received a notice from the Government telling me that in the next week or so to expect my census in the mail. This was the second notice from the Feds telling me to expect my census. So instead of sending out the census, I am sent two letters to tell me I will be getting it. I may be wrong, but I am betting many of you have received a similar letter. The sheer waste of money used to send this out is staggering. Throw in all the commercials including two during the Super Bowl and you are talking a mountain of cash. This shows the utter disregard for fiscal responsibility on the part of elected officials and bureaucrats. If this continues, I will be going into the pitchfork and torch business, because they will be in high demand in the near future.
