What’s really frightening is that Congress’ abuse of interstate commerce regulation between northern states and southern states was the trigger for the Civil War. Virginia led the charge against rampant Federalism in 1861. Yet our public schools have taught for three generations that the Civil War was fought over slavery, a fuzzy half-truth told for politically correct reasons and for political capital.
Last week, the Virginia legislature passed a bill which states that any federal mandate concerning health care regulation would automatically be considered null and void in that State. Nearly three dozen other states have similar legislation up for consideration.
When you forget the reasons a war was fought, it is very probable that you will have to fight it again. I drive around Houston and see "Secede!" bumper stickers all over town. If we can’t muzzle these power-hungry communists in the White House in November, we’ll shortly find ourselves living in what the Chinese refer to as "interesting times." The mid-term elections of 2010 may well turn out to be the most important in the history of our nation.

Save room for Fundy and the Family at the house Jarhead. Kids will be trained to handle weapons prior to deployment to Texas.
We have two spare bedrooms. We'll welcome the additonal perimeter security. But I sincerely hope it never gets to that point.
Joe McCarthty was right, damn him.
We're good to go here, but should have a compound ready up around Dime Box in a couple of months. :)
After years of preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse (Zombocalypse?), this will be a piece of cake.
