One Meeeel-yun Miles
Some guy in Wisconisn claims he just rolled one million miles on his '91 Chevy Silverado. Even if true, it doesn't make up for all the General Motors vehicles that quite literally fall apart at the seams after only 50,000 miles. It must have been a mistake; Quality Control let one slip past without going through Planned Obsolescence Preparation.
To be fair, General Motors still creates some of the best engines in the world. The modern LS-series V-8s may well be the most reliable engines ever built by an American automaker, and are pound-for-pound some of the most powerful ever made, as well. It's truly unfortunate that General Motors can't seem to build a decent car around those wonderful engines.
