Tight Little Circles

Probably the only redeeming quality of the confused lefties is the fact that they occasionally act as a source of laughter:

Jane Goodall says biofuel crops hurt rain forests

It's almost too easy, like scratching your dog and watching his leg go.

My favorite is that the increase in bio-fuel use has increased the price of corn and the decrease in the planting of other foods causing a large spike in food prices and creating food shortages because farmers are selling corn for fuel instead of food.

It's all the more frustrating because the answer is so obvious and easily achieved. No it's not nuclear plants; it's not harnessing wave power; it's not even space-based solar microwave transmission platforms, though all those methods hold out great promise. It's burning hippies.

This is an elegant solution to two very vexing problems. Even better is the fact that hippies are apparently an infinitely renewable resource. In fact, failure to properly contain them can result in a runaway reaction that makes the China Syndrome pale by comparison.

So get the word out: Save the Planet! Burn a hippie!
