Busted:

Members of the Statewide Narcotics Task Force along with Plainfield police arrested Wednesday a town resident accused of operating a drug factory from his home.

After a month-long, joint investigation, police executed a search warrant at 146 Canterbury Road, the home of 53-year-old Robert Anderson.

During the search, police seized less than four ounces of marijuana, packaging materials, an electronic scale and a .22 caliber rifle.

Translation: they found a scale in his kitchen, a box of Ziploc bags in the pantry, a .22 rifle he bought to shoot rats, and... OHMYGODMARIJUANA! He's a dealer!!!

Whew! Lucky they shut down that societal menace. Good work there, valiant officers of Keystone!

Anderson was charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school...

Do you remember when the various "within xxx feet of school" offenses used to be 500 feet? Now it's 1,500. Pretty soon it'll be "if you or any member of your extended family has ever seen a school from a distance closer than the second moon of Jupiter..."
