Bird Food
A pelican swallowed a pigeon whole in St. James Park, London. A photographer caught the two avians in flagrante.
I have a needle-nosed gar which eats in a similar manner, (minnows, of course, not pigeons). He snags the unsuspecting snack in his jaws, spins it around headfirst, then swallows it--whole and alive--all in a matter of mere seconds. Of course, there's no real utility in that, since I have to purchase the minnows; it's just cool to watch.
Pelicans that eat flying rats, however... that could lead to profit$.
